Nick Ruhlow was born and raised in Playa Carrillo, one of Samara's neighboring beach communities. After graduating from college with a degree in Business management and marketing he went on to work for Nike's International Sales department in Costa Mesa, California, gaining valuable knowledge in customer service and account management. Nick now resides in Samara, the place he loves and knows best, and is passionate about helping develop the community that watched him grow.

Liz moved to Samara from Kansas City in 2016 after spending more than 15 years in the international nonprofit sector, working to connect people of different cultures and facilitate humanitarian projects. She is thrilled to be able to continue working with wonderful people from all over the world.

Gustavo Alvarado was born and raised in Costa Rica but spent almost 20 years living and working in Switzerland. A long time nurse assistant, he changed direction and started a Biergarten in Zürich with his best friend, a concept that still today is running successfully. After 6 years in the restaurant industry, he pivoted once again and returned to Costa Rica to take advantage of the enormous business opportunities and the pura vida lifestyle his home country is famous for. While in Switzerland, he experienced the European culture and traditions and became fluent in German, Swiss-German, Italian, and English. Having returned to Costa Rica, he's passionate about helping his worldly community buy and sell property in Costa Rica.

Originally from Houston, Texas, Bill and his family relocated to Tampa, Florida where his development activity included regional and national headquarters buildings for several Fortune 100 companies. With “one foot out the door” toward retirement, Bill’s signature achievement was the development of the InterContinental Hotel in Atlanta, GA. He and his wife are very active in the Samara community.
