Angelina Phillips

In early 2000, Angelina and her husband Steve began to explore Costa Rica to discover where they would settle. After much exploration, the tranquility of Samara stole their hearts. Within a few years, they purchased a finca and built a home. Angelina and her family relocated to Samara and oversaw the construction of their home and in 2007 they opened the Coldwell Banker Samara office.

Angelina worked is Sales and Marketing for a real estate developer in Los Cabos, Mexico in the late 90s and upon her return to California resumed a career in executive management and teaching part time. Prior to her move to Samara, Angelina functioned as the Executive Director of Acorn Soupe, an environmental education nonprofit that connects children to the natural world through experiential field trips.

Her experience living abroad, building a home, and running a business make her an asset to folks considering a move to the area. With a keen appreciation of natural foods and sustainable development, Angelina is excited to participate in the organic growth of the Samara and Carrillo communities.

Steve Phillips

In early 2000, Steve and his family set out to determine where in Costa Rica they would move, build a home, and start a business. After extensive travel along the Guanacaste peninsula, the couple fell in love with Samara and the surrounding beach communities. Shortly thereafter they purchased some land in the foothills and open the real estate company Coldwell Banker Samara.

Laura Thomas

Laura functions as the Broker's Assistant for the team at Coldwell Banker Samara. Laura fell in love with Samara in 2005 and purchased land. Previously, she split her time between Canada and Costa Rica but for the last 3 1/2 years she has resided in Samara full time with her daughter. Originally from the UK, Laura worked for over a decade for the financial industry in debt recovery and general accounting. Seeking a different lifestyle her travels brought her to Samara; a spectacular place that she now calls home.
